The Tennessee Volunteers football program is one of the winningest Division I college football teams. The program ranks in the top 10 all time and trails only Alabama in the SEC. The Vols boast several All Americans as players and coaches. The program is also famous for some unique traditions, such as its orange and white checkerboard end zones. Tennessee competes in the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division. The Tennessee Volunteers Football Team won the 1998 NCAA Division I National Championship. The UT Volunteers are coached by Phillip Fulmer and play at Neyland Stadium, which averages over 105,000 fans per game. The 2007 Tennessee Volunteer Football Team was crowned the SEC Eastern Division Champion and represented the SEC East in the SEC Championship Game against LSU in December of 2007.
